“At that time there shall arise Michael, the great prince, guardian of your people; it shall be a time unsurpassed in distress since nations began. At that time your people shall escape, everyone who is found written in the book.”
Daniel 12:1 NAB
“Then war broke out in heaven; Michael and his angels battled against the dragon. The dragon and its angels fought back, but they did not prevail and there was no longer any place for them in heaven.”
Revelation 12:7‑8
Prayer to Saint Michael
Written by Pope Leo XIII (1884)
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all evil spirits who wander through the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
Victory
Through His Incarnation, Teaching, Passion, Death and Resurrection
Jesus has already won the Victory over sin, death and the devil!
But because we have the dignity of being created, male and female,
in the image and likeness of God,
who is Merciful, Mutual, Trinitarian,
Self‑Gift Love in His Essence,
we have the freedom and the responsibility
to receive the pure gift of this Victory and to apply it to our
relationships with God, and one another in our daily lives.
Along with St. Michael, God has empowered
Mary, the Mother of Jesus, and our spiritual mother,
St. Joseph, Patron of the Church and Terror of demons,
our Guardian Angels, and the whole Communion of Saints
to help us apply the Victory of Jesus to our lives.
